Decently Priced
So far so good, its in a nice area without having to go to far to find some local entertainment! I can walk to the Legends Brewery, or a nice walk to Belle Isle and I'm able to get over to work in no time. Very nicely centralized in the city so everything is a quick trip!!!

Great location
Overall the place is not that bad, the other residents ruin it for me. I'm handicapped and they park in the spaces without a permit. Cops refuse to move them or ticket them. Management is amazing and they do their best to help! I do love having 15ft tall ceilings for all my artwork!

STAY AWAY
I hate to give this place such a low review, because I really like my apartment.
I moved here in April 2015 and fell in love with my apartment and the friendly staff in the leasing office. I wish it stayed that way.
First and foremost, rent is pretty cheap, utilities aren't too bad (update: winter more than doubled our bills), and it's a pretty quiet/low key area.
Parking isn't really ideal. The main lot is across the street (6 lanes) on Commerce, and the secondary lot is even further away, kitty-corner across Commerce and Maury.
You can sometimes park on 7th, but not all the time considering some people like to leave a 6 foot gap between them and the car behind them so you can only fit two cars into a three car spot. OR, my personal favorite, people LOVE to park right up against your bumper so you cannot get your car out for 3 days.
A lot of the tenants are really friendly and they love to stop and chat, but some tenants will look at you weird if you say hi. Manchester is a very dog friendly area, but there are plenty of people who live in this building who are terrified of my harmless baby puppy. Really?
The maintenance guy, Fred, is my absolutely favorite. Any time I have had an issue, he's been up right away and fixed it within minutes. He's super sweet and always makes sure to say hi.
(UPDATE: Since the original posting of this review, Fred has been "asked to resign because he seemed overwhelmed with the amount of work there was". Because there is only ONE maintenance person for a 100+ unit building. The new maintenance guy is very friendly too, though.)
Now my biggest issue: the pet area. When I first moved in; it was nice and new, there was a fresh batch of mulch down, and it was clean. Then, there was an influx of people moving out and new people moving in (I should have taken this as a sign)
A month later (May), people suddenly stopped picking up after their pets, so the leasing office put up a sign that said they will start fining these people, because they are breaching their lease.
Now (February), nothing has changed. Actually, there has been more poop in the pet area than before. On top of that, I've gone down there to let my dog out to find the gate to the pet area (the one that requires key fob entry) left wide open. This wouldn't be a huge deal if, you know, there wasn't a busy road right next to it and if you didn't mind your dog playing in traffic. Also the interior door of the pet area doesn't always shut all the way, so if the pet area gate is open, any stranger has access to the whole building.
Also there is always a lot of random trash and cigarettes thrown around the pet area.
I've brought up both of the issues to the leasing office, and they tried to pass the blame on Fred; the maintenance guy. I told them that it wasn't his responsibility to pick up after tenants' pets.
They have been ignoring me since.
Like I said, I really like my apartment, the maintenance guy, and a couple neighbors. The rest needs a vast improvement.

Average Complex
Let me start off by saying I love the unit I live in. Overall, the building is an old factory that has been turned into I believe 100+ apartments. I was lucky enough that there was a vacancy in an isolated unit when we decided to move in, however the rest of the building has paper thin walls that make peace and quiet hard to come by. Property management made us believe that there were plenty of amenities available when we moved in, however we have found out that many of these amenities don't exist, and some of them have been taken away over the course of us living here.
