Good Value for Location (Still Exensive)

Overall, I've had a great experience living at 1301 Thomas Circle. The value is relatively good for the area, and the pool and refreshed gym equipment are excellent. I strongly disagree with how much they charge for parking ($275, claiming it's the "market" but the garage is mostly empty). Otherwise, the management and staff are friendly and attentive and maintenance comes quickly.

Good Value for Location (Still Exensive)

So far, I have enjoyed my time at 1301 Thomas Circle (I've lived here for about two months). Compared to other buildings in the area with similar amenities, it is a "good" value (but of course still very expensive), and the common spaces are clean and well-kept. Maintenance has also been timely and responsive to all requests. Walls are thick and I never hear noise from neighbors, elevators are fast, people are friendly and respectful. Gym equipment could use a refresh/upgrade (or even just a deep cleaning). Overall, I would recommend living here!

Good but far from campus

My roommate and I love our place. It's spacious and we got a good deal because of COVID (although still higher than I would have liked). No real issues but management has been a little difficult. The lease is like 60 pages long and they have been a little difficult to get a hold of with rent and lease questions. People often don't wear masks in common areas and there are a lot of undergrads who live here, so getting management to do anything about it is hard. It is, however, a mile away from the nearest metro but there apparently is a bus that goes straight to campus. Wish it was closer to campus too both other than than I would love to stay here, it just depends on how things end up in the next few months.

Great amenities though (which I don't often use because of the mask situation) and there are a lot of pets here.

Great management, location and amenities

1301 Thomas Circle is the perfect location - especially for people looking to rely on walking and metro access for transportation. As someone without a car, I absolutely value the walkability to Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, multiple CVS's, SafeWay and all metro lines. I metro to Northern VA every day and it's faster than driving.

The UDR management is awesome. Your service requests are fixed within 24 hours (or less) for no hidden fees. The front desk staff is always kind and helpful.

The amenities and cleanliness of the building are great. Most units don't have fancy stainless steel appliances or hardwood floors but everything functions without concern. I love the gym, it saves me the cost of buying a membership (can get crowded though).

My only feedback for the building and UDR are to improve security for the resident fob-in side door and/or elevators and to improve Leasing's receptivity to current residents when questions come up that the front desk aren't responsible for.

Decent living environment, expensive rent

Decently run by landlord. Maintenance is great. Landlord not flexible and a bit hostile at times. Leasing office stick to a script if you have any questions or concerns, a huge corporate-run apartment complex. Decent as a first apt and want to be somewhere close to the city and work and you can afford the high rent. I have experienced better management.

Overpriced

1301 Thomas Circle is well located for a young professional - easy access to metro and 14th Street/U Streets. The building is clean, safe, with nice amenities. But the price is very high for the amount of space you get, and management often makes mistakes or is unresponsive.

All around great DC apt

my wife and I have been living here for about 2 years now and we love it! The vibe of the whole place is just great, great neighbors, nice gym, and the staff really cares about the folks living there. It's in a great part of town which makes the slightly higher rent worth it, I mean you can't beat living 3 minutes from a Whole Foods!

Love this place

I really like this building and the residents who live here. There are lots of young professionals (you have to have a job to afford the expensive rent) and the environment is welcoming, clean, and not too loud. The gym and pool are great and you can't beat hanging out on the roof.

Logan Circle Reviews

Logan Circle is the perfect location! It's close to 14th St and P St and the up and coming Shaw neighborhood so you have tons of restaurants, gyms and shops in walking distance. You're also walking distance to U st, Dupont, downtown (Farragut), Metro Center and Chinatown so you are ideally located - can get to any metro line in 10-20 minutes walking.
I think this is the best location if you want to be in DC and work in McLean. Unfortunately, having to be close to the Silver line somewhat limits where you can live in DC (unless you want to transfer metro lines). While my commute could still take up to an hour, I think it is worth it because Logan Circle has so many great restaurants and bars. Also, I can very easily walk to a ton of other neighborhoods (Dupont, Shaw, etc.)
This part of town has gentrified drastically in a short amount of time. That comes with the good and the bad. There are so many developments going up that it has misplaced the communities that once lived here. However, there are still hip old tropes of those communities up and down U St and 14th St. Ethiopian dive restaurants, to great music clubs, and a safe, lively gay scene, this is a booming part of town.
Walking distance to several metro lines and going-out areas.
Logan Circle is my favorite neighborhood in DC for living and leisure. I have every type of grocery store within a 5 minute walk from my apartment, multiple gyms, and most of my favorite bars and restaurants.
Its is a fairly nice neighborhood with a lot of families. It is quiet and doesn't have almost any criminal activity. It is a great place to start a family
All you need is close by or within walking distance or a quick Uber. Good variety of restaurants and bars. Parks nearby and safe location.
Lots of restaurants, grocery stores, bars, and fun things to do. Not the cheapest place to live but a great spot to be in.
