Unresponsive management and unsafe area
The pros: affordable price, all utilities included, free cable/wifi
The cons: management will not respond to maintenance requests. I have never had a response for my toilet which has been broken for two months. Nor have I had a response to HVAC issues. Another problem is no in-unit laundry. The parking garage experiences frequent break-ins. The building is rarely secured by fob as was advertised. Most of the gym equipment is inoperable. Common areas are rarely cleaned.

Convenient Access, Frequent Problems
The location is very convenient as a student, and a lot of necessities are close by. Apartments also have a nice look and a fair amount of space. However, in the past 6 months, so may issues have arisen from HVAC breaking down, leaks, molding apartment, unresponsive management, and a clogged sink, my apartments have been a hassle.

Okay
This place is alright. The main building is more updated than the two other Lindell buildings. I feel pretty safe there. The space in my apartment is good and I have enough storage space. The management keeps changing which seems to cause some confusion over little things. They do seem to care at the leasing office, but I'm not sure what they really have control over even if they really care. When I moved in the AC in the apartment was broken in my unit, but also on the main floor in the lobby area and I heard in other units as well. The windows do not seem well insulated(?), because when it gets cold out my apartment varies between 57-64 degrees despite my heat being set to 70. When I moved in the place wasn't cleaned the greatest, but I had it better than others. My neighbor's had trash scattered about.

Good Property - Bad Management
Coronado and the associate Lindell East and West towers are great buildings, maybe the best around campus. They have beautiful lobbies and common areas, and the amenities are nice. As a pre-war concrete building, most apartments are sturdy and quiet. Unfortunately, the management is not the best. Most of the office staff have little clue what's going on (despite being kind people), and management is pretty inert and non-responsive. Then, there is insufficient cleaning and maintenance of common areas. For example, the elevator nearest to Spring St. often had brownish-black sludge dripping down from the ceiling in puddles on the floor and walls; it was only cleaned up as college apartment hunting season rolled around in late summer! Take-aways: Great building, but be cautious if you value decent polite management and tidy well-maintained buildings.

Average Place
Definitely not the best or worst place I have lived. I do not anticipate renewing.

Great place to be.
Living at the Coronado is nice because it is over by the main SLU campus so there is a lot of places to go and see. The building used to be a fancy hotel so everything inside is top notch and solid.

Great place with a few quirks
The apartment itself is great, and the management company is very helpful. They are on site 7 days a week (limited weekend hours), handle packages, and are generally prompt with repairs. While my apartment is updated, though, some of the common spaces, particularly the elevators, are not, and break a lot. The pool is small and not great for lap swimming, but it's good for cooling off. The only downside is that the security systems (doors and garage) break down from time to time. There's also a movie theater and bowling alley on the property.
