Nice but expensive.
The views are amazing, the apartments and amenities are nice, and the walls aren't super thin. However, it's expensive. Also, because it's in midtown, there's a lot of traffic, and you definitely have to plan your schedule accordingly so you're not spending over an hour fighting traffic at 5pm.

Midtown Reviews
Nighttime is very dependent on where you live, but there can be a lot of noise from street racing and other safety issues.
That being said, northern midtown is a great area and allows an easy commute to campus.
Extremely LGBTQ friendly area, especially at the corner of 10th and Piedmont. More skewed towards gay men than lesbians, though.
Crime is something of a rollercoaster - things will seem great for a while and then there'll be a few armed muggings or house robberies and everyone freaks out. Pay attention to your surroundings and don't be afraid to call the police if you feel unsafe! Basic advice for anywhere in the city, really.
