Quiet and safe

A great place to live when you are in the DC metro area for a temporary period. Common places are kept clean, floor is quiet, and you will run into a pets at all times. Gym is good, although not spacious. Closets are wonderful. Overall great place to live.

Good combination of city and suburbs

This apartment is accessible to the metro to get into the city and has access to a whole foods (it's actually on top of the whole foods), CVS and a couple nice restaurants. The parking is reasonable and the apartments are a decent size. The community also has monthly social events which are really nice. I would definitely recommend this building.

Great North Bethesda Apartment

Overall I love living at North Bethesda Market. The location is perfect, there is a lot to do around it and very close to many sources of public transportation. The staff holds many social events so you get to meet the buildings residents easily, very pet friendly as well. I love the studio I live in, it's the perfect size, it's all the space I need. The only downsides are that the gym is a little small (but its usually pretty empty anyway so that's not too big of a problem). Upon move-in I was given the wrong keys which delayed my move-in time a lot as well as having my mail not be delivered for the first 2 months because my apartment was listed vacant and I had no idea. Other than that, great place to live.

Great location and place to live

This is an amazing apartment to live in! The location is amazing - it's just outside of the ramp to get onto 495 and down the street from downtown Bethesda. Plus, the apartment complex itself is located on top of great restaurants and a Whole Foods. I recommend it.

Excellent City Feel in the Suburbs

North Bethesda Market is a great community to live in. The area is constantly being developed and new restaurants and shops are popping up all the time. There is a nice community feel to the building and many of the neighbors hang out together at the pool and the local restaurants.

The shops make living here convenient CVS, Whole Foods, Dry Cleaners, Starbucks all on site. The building offers a pool, resident lounge, and gym (LS fitness is here too if you choose to pay for a larger gym). Parking is easy for residents, but can be a little confusing for visitors unless you want to pay for a visitor spot.

The building is clean and most of the appliances, carpet, etc is fairly new. The apartments are quite and much more spacious than other apartments I have seen in the area for similar prices. Management is friendly, but can "drag their feet" sometimes things take a little while to get some after requested. However overall the experience is good. The front desk concierge staff are all very friendly and accommodating so that makes up for management slowness.

Overall I love living here! I have been here for 3+ years and do not plan on moving any time soon.

Getting around North Bethesda

North Bethesda Reviews

8 reviews
Extremely convenient neighborhood if you work on the red line! It's a stone's throw away from Montgomery Mall and all of the restaurants and shopping available in Bethesda. Very low crime, and there is generally a police car parked in the area for peace of mind.
The North Bethesda area is nice. Pike and Rose, which already has some good places to eat, is growing and will hopefully add more restaurants. Within the area, there's a whole foods and Trader Joe's.
Not very many younger people live here. However, it’s between Rockville and Bethesda, so in either direction you can find nightlife or other activities if you want. The area is relatively quiet. As a single woman, I feel very safe and secure in this area.
The walkability is great here. We think that there is stuff to do from shopping to dining. There are stores and shops that are close to each other, so you can always make it a good night! We don't really think that the White Flint Metro is the safest place, so that kind of turns us off about the area. There are other parts of Bethesda that are way nicer.
Pike and Rose is the best! We are walking distance from white flint metro, surrounded by bars, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping... everything you could possibly want. All the convenience of DC but without the exorbitant price tag and congested traffic.
It is a family friendly neighborhood. Everyone is super nice and it is not nosy
this area has experienced significant development in the past couple of years. Plenty more restaurants and shopping areas than in the past! There is little nightlife, but it is becoming a much more exciting area than it used to be.
Pros:
-Close to 495, 270, and many grocery stores
-Close to Rock Creek Park
-Never felt unsafe walking around

Cons:
-Metro is close so there is some noise
-People are inconsiderate of their dog poop
