Great place to live for law school
I'm a non-car owner who prefers not to spend time on long commutes, so I wanted an apartment walking distance to law school. I've lived at 515 on the Park for all three years of law school and I have no regrets. They allow pets, have a small gym, and the residents in the building are wonderful neighbors. It's been a welcome chance to enjoy cultural diversity and understand the experiences of non-White Minneapolitans, as many of my neighbors are Somali families. The building has lots of kids, so sometimes it can be noisy, but I've been able to study through it easily. There has been significant staff turnover in my time here, and I suspect this is because Fine Associates probably isn't doing enough to retain staff. Anytime we've needed anything fixed, we've never had to wait more than a week. It's also close to the green and blue lines, which has been very convenient. And as a perk, we've got a nice slice of downtown for a view.

Its a fantastic place to live
It has everything a student needs, and the family-friendly living makes it easy to stay honest with yourself while working at home. It doesn't feel like an undergraduate dorm where parties are happening all the time, its a place where you can live, work, and generally feel like a graduate student on the cusp of becoming a professional.

Nice Location, Fair Price, Questionable Management
The location of this building is great. The light rail is super accessible, making it very easy to get to downtown Minneapolis. It's very close to the law school, and I generally like the building. It is also significantly cheaper than other similar buildings with similar size units. However lately I have had issues with management: they have yet to fix the front door, which only sparingly locks. Additionally, they force all packages to be left in the office, which has very limited hours, so, if you aren't home in time, you don't get your package.

Nice apartment with good location for students
I love how close it is to the law school and to light rail stations. The apartment is very nice and definitely big enough for my roommates and I. Maintenance always responds quickly and we rarely have issues. I will say that the pictures of the apartment interiors show an island in the kitchen but ours does not have one, so be sure to ask unless you want to buy a dining table. The student discount in rent is nice (7%). There are a lot of families that live in the building so if kids running around bothers you, this is not your place. My biggest issue with the building is how they charge for utilities. We pay Xcel for electric but water, trash, and gas get added on to rent every month as a separate bill. They apportion the bill by getting one large bill for the entire building and dividing it up by square footage of the apartment rather than actual usage. Our utility bill can be over $200 in the winter because we have a three bedroom. It is in the lease that this is how they charge but I will note it's illegal in some states. Garage parking is $100 per month but worth it because street parking is free but hard to come by. I still think this apartment was my best option as a law student given how close it is to the school and the price.
