Close to GW Law in older building, still nice

Fair number of older tenants with a mix of younger students and yuppies. Building is showing some signs of wear but generally a nice building. Higher apartments have great views. Rent is manageable if split. Thick walls

Great Apartment Building

Really nice building. Lots of amenities like gym, open rooftop, monthly happy hours, 24 hour front desk service, friendly staff, responsive maintenance, affordable for location and size (LOTS of space for a 3 bedroom in DC under 5000 and the area is an awesome area, super close to Georgetown and a block away from metro). Some parts of the building are a little old fashioned, but that's part of the charm. Only real downside is parking garage has a 2 year waitlist only available for apartment owners, but the metro is a block a way and there's always some method of transportation readily available (uber/lyft, bike shares, scooters, buses, etc.).

Very Safe

I feel very safe living here and the apartment is conveniently located near school and close to trader joes and whole foods. Walking distance from the monuments. Maintenance is very timely and building has great security. Only downside is cranky elderly residents. Otherwise, building is very quiet.

About Foggy Bottom

The naturally foggy surroundings of the area gives it its own unique name - Foggy Bottom. Unfortunately, its name does not highlight the excellent quality of music, dance and drama practiced in the neighborhood every single day. Lots of pretty row homes, walking distance to many restaurants, grocery stores, and my school. Lots of trees and a dog park near-by. Overall, very pretty and scenic to walk through, and also close to other neighborhoods and essential stores.
I like living in Foggy, it's easy to get to school but also is close to Georgetown, which is fun for food and shopping. The northern part of Foggy (near GW) is about 10 minute walk to Dupont too, which is great.
Short walk to Georgetown, West End, and Dupont Circle. Many restaurants nearby and close to metro so you can get to anywhere in the city conveniently.
Nice to be so close to school. Short walk from the mall and other tourist destinations. Bar/restaurant/night life scene leaves a lot to be desired.
It is really close to campus so a lot of GW folks live here! You can reach a lot of places on public transit.
Edge of Foggy Bottom bordering Georgetown - very safe and peaceful!
I personally enjoy the quietness of the neighborhood and its location within a close walking distance of campus, Georgetown, the water, and convenience/grocery stores. The neighborhood is also very safe, I am a woman in my early 20's and I have never felt unsafe walking home late at night near my apartment.
Foggy Bottom is a great place to live given the proximity to the law school. It's also within walking distance of Georgetown and Dupont Circle which are fun places to go out with friends and classmates. It's also has lots of bike racks for the Capital Bikeshare nearby, and the Foggy Bottom metro stop is a few blocks up the street.
