Queen Anne Belvedere

Truly love how close it is to the school and the courtyard in the back is absolutely beautiful. Management is very nice and maintenance is quick and effective. Would recommend it to anyone looking to move to the Mt. Vernon area.

Great place to live

QAB is in a great neighborhood, lots of eats around, the deli, and the way to school are so nice. The building is in good condition and has a lot of good amenities.

Christina

Queen Anne Belvedere is a great place to live. It is in the heart of historic Mt. Vernon and on a busy block filled with restaurants, bars, and entertainment. It doesn't feel like an apartment complex because they have retained the historic exterior of the building and they have a quiet, private, fenced in garden for residents to enjoy.

Ok

The overall experience is pretty good but they're are some annoying features. Coin operated laundry is a pain. The retailers on street level have keys to the building and back courtyard which poses a security threat. The maintenance is pretty responsive and the front desk staff is great.

Central Location for Young People

This apartment building feels like a dorm building. It has a great location within walking distance to many bars, restaurants shops and Penn Station. It's right on Charles St. so it's very noisy and parking is always a challenge. The building is full of students or young professionals. It's great to have someone to sign packages and attend to the front. It's very safe. Laundry is on site but you do have to pay. There is a small gym a few doors down that is included so that's nice. It's not a bad place to live.

A great first apartment

Having lived here for a bit now, I can absolutely say that this is a great apartment building. The high ceilings and windows make for an amazingly open feeling environment, and the only drawback is the lack of designated parking. But nearby garages make that less of an issue, aside from requiring an additional cost. In building laundry facilities are a bonus, although they are coin operated, which is something additional to have to account for. Gym facilities are available 24/7, though they are accessible through a separate building off the main street. The building does take into consideration ADA requirements in numerous ways, however, which is wonderful to see. The staff is very friendly and incredibly good at their job, and on the whole it's an excellent place to live. I'm especially fond of the fenced in courtyard out back, which provides an excellent and private place to get some fresh air.

QAB

The QAB is one of the best apartments I have rented to date. The management is well organized, considerate, and responds to correspondence and requests promptly. Within the property, rooms are spacious, with large windows, high ceilings, and adequate storage.

Mid-Town Belvedere Reviews

There isn’t too much near by in comparison to other locations in Baltimore, but it is in the middle of the city so it is easy to get places. There isn’t a grocery store nearby, which is probably the biggest con.
UMd Police presence is fairly high, so the area feels reasonably safe. Fairly well lit, and fairly heavily traveled given its location with UB and UMd.
Have only been offered crack once in two years.
It’s a really nice area and is walking distance to a lot of different things. But once you go outside the area it can get a little sketchy
Good bar/restaurant scene, right next to the train/bus station. Some crime but can't help that.
Love how historic it is
Midtown/ Mt Vernon is a very active neighborhood in Baltimore. Artscape is held annually here, and there is regularly activities going on. It very common to see people out and about at all hours. Its situated around several colleges and universities. The real con to the neighborhood, is the lack of viable options for grocery shopping. You must travel to another neighborhood to shop which means more often than not you need to utilize a car. Zipcar is available in many locations.
Mt Vernon is a safe neighborhood with some of the best bars/restaurants of Baltimore (including Brewers Art, The Owl Bar, etc.). It really "feels" like a neighborhood. Main problem: no decent grocery stores on walking distance. Eddies is a disgrace of low quality produce and whole foods-like prices, so you really need a car to do grocery shopping.
This is a fairly safe and clean neighborhood. I checked the Sun's murder and rat complaint maps, and this area has little of either. Eddies of Mount Vernon is an OK grocery store, but I wouldn't go there for everything.
