Generally pretty good

My main complaint is that the power goes out at an alarming frequency. In the 4 years I’ve lived here, I’ve lost power at least 2-4x per year, not including brief outages. I’ve also had water shut off at least once per year. Neither has been out for more than a day, but it is very frustrating. Otherwise, I wish it had in-unit laundry and a dishwasher for the price. But the maintenance is very friendly and responsive and the building is largely quiet.

Safe and nice location

It only takes 10min to walk to pierpond commons. Convenient gym, laundry and small grocery store. Though I can always hear the television next door.

Best bank for your buck

Maintenance people are nice. The building is a little bit older but it is clean and it has the things you need: laundry, pool, parking, close to architecture school, small grocery store. The kitchens are small if you get the older units, but the new ones are really nice. There's a 50/50 chance you get a nice view if you're on the side of the river. Each apartment has its own balcony, which is nice during the summer and they aren't super small. I've been living here for 3 years in a three bedroom with different roommates each year and I've loved it. It's secure and reliable. Oh, and the windows are huge, which lets a lot of sunlight in but also makes it a little cold during the winter.

HT Review

I've lived here for about a year so far. There are definitely issues with slight noise in some of the apartments (I live in a corner unit) if you live in a studio or corner unit as the walls aren't thick enough, but overall most of the residents are older, and I think many people do not have noise complaints over all. Their assistant manager is great. Leasing is flexible and you can go month to month after your first full lease. Being next to the arb is GREAT. The units are large, and it's nice to be at least a little away from the medical school. Granted, I can get there within 10 minutes from the time I leave my door if I either grab the bus or bike, so distance is not really an issue at all.

If you want to be close to the hospital, then this is definitely the place for you! It is one of the more affordable areas that is within walking distance to the hospital and is close to many other medical students. There is a restaurant or two nearby, and the walk to Kerrytown (Farmer's market, small grocery store, etc.) is about 10-15 minutes. White coat is definitely a hike from the main downtown area.
It is quiet and removed from the downtown area, which can be a plus and a minus. I personally find it nice to be able to concentrate and study. It is also convenient to be living with many other med students in White Coat and be close to the medicals school building.
This apartment is about a 10 minute walk from the hospital/medical school, which is super convenient. There is a park nearby, which is great for running, walking dogs, and riding bikes. Also, it take about 15 minutes to get to Kerry town, the farmer’s market, etc.
North Campus is the place to be!! Lots of trails and nature for walking, NCRB gym nearby, grocery stores, gas, food, and more. Mostly graduate students up here so quieter but also within 10 min drive to downtown. There's always parking too.
Close access to running trails with a great neighborhood feel.
I enjoy being near the river and close to walking trails!
The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and well-maintained. There are tons of medical students around the white coat area, so it is easy to socialize and meet up with your peers. However, I wish there were more restaurant/cafe/store options nearby.
Very friendly, neighborly community. Very few undergraduate students are here, so the pace of life is generally more tame.
