B9
Berkshire Ninth Street is one of the more expensive options in Durham, but it's a really nice complex with no major issues so far. One of the best options for people who have some work experience and savings and don't mind paying a little extra for a great apartment.

Excellent place to live
B9 is a great place to live. The property is well maintained and has excellent amenities. The apartment is new, spacious, and comfortable. The management company is responsive when issues arrive, and they throw at least 3 social events per month for you to meet your neighbors. The only issue I've had is with the 3rd party vendors that B9 contracts with. Sometimes those vendors, notably the trash collection service, will miss entire floors while rendering their services. However, this is no fault of the management company, and they are always willing to get in contact with the vendors and work to get things right. I highly recommend it overall, and heavily encourage any graduate or professional student at Duke to look into their graduate leasing program for an excellent leasing rate.

Great Place to Live
While a bit pricey, this is a fantastic place to live: a good mix of students and working professionals and a short, beautiful drive from the law school.

Expensive, but solid!
You certainly pay for it, but the facilities are very nice!

Berkshire Ninth St
Responsive management, maintenance request responded to within 1 day, apartment complex feels safe (although the parking garage door is sometimes left open for no reason), residents are pretty respectful of other residents, pet friendly, clean gym, close proximity to Harris Teeter, Whole Foods and East Campus is added bonus. Wish there were more individual self study rooms.

Berkshire Ninth
Large, clean apartments. Helpful staff. Lots of resident events with free food now. A big communal clubhouse area with places to study. Great location, across the street from Harris Teeter which has a Starbucks in it.

Berkshire Ninth Street Review
Very good amenities, the extra utilities costs are a little much with valet trash but the add ons for internet/cable are reasonable. The office is responsive and helpful and the building is gorgeous

Management is pretty horrible

Sort of luxury
B9 is great for people looking to spend a couple of hundred bucks extra for a more modern, quiet and better looking apartment
