Great price; no amenities

If you are looking for the best price on a 1 bedroom near AU, 3213 Wisconsin is it! But there are no amenities (no gym, no parking, no outdoor space). It's walking distance to campus and is close to grocery and restaurants, but it's not updated and it's an older building with some quirks. It has steam radiator heating so you will be a consistent 85 degrees when it kicks on in winter. Wall AC units for the summer but I had to supplement with a lot of fans. Communal laundry in basement. Cats are allowed, but no dogs.

Great property manager, very responsive and attentive to resident needs (and friendly). The apartments are beautiful and conveniently located.

Love living there but far from campus

Amazing place to live as an upperclass/grad student but far from campus so tough if you have to be on campus for most of the day. Works well for me because I am only on campus a few times a week, and I love the quietness of my neighborhood and how removed it is from campus. Apartments are also great size/quality for the price.

Property Management is still on COVID Protocol

5 management rating Reviewed by on

The building is ok, but old and needs some work. Units on the top floors are dealing with a decrease in water pressure that needs to be addressed. and some of the bathrooms have tiles that have been painted over and now peeling. While this is minor, I will say that management still being under COVID protocol, with limited entry into units does not help because they are only entering units for "emergencies" and scheduling dates for non-emergency issues in 2024.

Fantastic location and amazing staff!

The apartment building is really great for first time renters (or not too). They're in a great location and the staff are incredibly friendly. We are right near an embassy which makes me feel incredibly safe. We also have amazing 180° views of DC.
The only thing I do not like about this place is not being able to park anywhere. As an out of state license, it makes parking a bit difficult and costly.
But other than that, the building is amazing!

Great Deal and Great Location

Building in a great location for a great price. Minimal amenities but good responsiveness to maintenance issues and larger size studio with lots of light.

My review

Great place to live, quiet, very responsive management, very spacious floor plan with all utilities included except electric and Wi-Fi.

Take an 8 minute walk to Georgia avenue, hop on 70 or 79 bus and you are right at school.

Environment is ideal because it’s walking distance to many stores including Walmart and you can also hop on the 54 bus to Columbia heights or U street for social life and shopping.

Using the elevator during COVID sucks. Nothing about the apartment is outstanding, but no complaints. They're good about tracking your packages that come in and responding to maintenance requests.

The building is a bit old, and the decor is very dated. There is a very small gym which costs $5/month to use. There is laundry in the basement.

There are a variety of layouts within each apartment type. The kitchen is very small. They recently installed an Amazon locker in the basement. There is also a seasonal rooftop.

Great location, not as great people

4 management rating Reviewed by on

The apartment is convenient to Metro - 2 blocks from NoMa station (red line) and there are bus stops for 90, 96, 80, and P6 either in front of or within 5 blocks of the building. Grocery stores, CVS and eateries 1 block away. The building itself is really nice. It's a newer building and has an indoor basketball court, gym, free exercise classes, rooftop deck and pool with perfect views of DC, sky lounge, club room, movie theatre, reservable conference room, and business center. There is also Wi-Fi in all amenity spaces. However, the downfall is management and maintenance can be really slow to respond and sometimes do not respond to requests for repairs, etc. at all. Also, some of the neighbors can be difficult and unrulely.

Management can be a bit slow with responses, but often can speed it up by often reaching out if you need something. Any actual problems in my apartment have been taken care of very quickly. No dishwasher in apartments but laundry downstairs and great price for location right next to Logan Circle. Only utilities you pay for are electricity and internet

Beautiful old DC apartment in quiet Lanier Heights

Great apartment with very good value for the location. Apartment is also rent controlled so rent is not raised significantly from year to year. Management is very responsive. Beautiful old building with large apartment floor plans.

It's okay here...

3 management rating Reviewed by on

It's okay here, I don't really like the building at all. Looking for a new place. Although it is really close to the bus stop and fairly close to me school ( it is about a 15-20 minute walk). Overall I guess the only thing that I have to complain about is that I really don't think the rent is proportionate to what I have. But, that's most of the places in this neighborhood.
