Great units + staff

The apartments themselves are great, with wall-to-wall windows in the living area. Laundry is available in-unit and pets are not allowed. The staff is extremely responsive and helpful (a leasing agent helped jump my car last week).

The apartment management company was great when working with me! Maintenance requests are handled quickly, the apartment has no bug or noise issues, and the neighborhood is pretty nice! There's a supermarket and a metro stop about a 10-minute walk away, and a bus stop right outside the apartment.

I have really loved living at the Hamilton House. Everyone is very friendly and was very welcoming when I moved from Boston. My one complaint is the gym is very small and if you go at the wrong time it's crowded.

I have really loved my time at the Hamilton House. The management is very friendly and responsive, the pool is wonderful and the apartment is complex is always kept very clean. My two issues have been 1) the gym is very small and 2) they turned the heat on far too early for the DC weather.

Not a bad place to stay even if its a little out of the way of where students live

Excellent location, only problem is its distance to the DuPont Bus. I don't mind a walk but that's the only issue. Otherwise, its very close to the U St. Green Line Station. Clean room, quiet, good facilities.

Convenient Location, Great Space

10 management rating Reviewed by on

As a non-native to DC, I like the security and safety I feel in my building. It is a convenient 10 minute walk to the law school, but also provides separation from school. Though the rent is a bit more expensive, I think it is worth it because of the amenities provided and the convenient location. It is a 5 minute walk to the Dupont Circle Metro which is on the red line and has a many restaurants and shops nearby.

A very nice building with exceptional management

I cannot say enough nice things about George and the management team at Hamilton House. From the very beginning with a tour, I was met with nothing but pure respect and customer service. I hope to live here for many years. My unit does not get tons of sunlight, but the fact that utilities are included more than makes up for any lack of sunlight.

M Street

I love my apartment, and the location is great for DC because it's pretty close to a lot of restaurants and events on 14th St. It is a bit of a distance from school, but it's close to several metro stops (all of the lines are within a ten minute walk) and bus stops. I also have a washer and dryer in unit, which is super unique! Plus, management is fantastic and extremely responsive. The only issue is the noise level from the street, but that's not really a building specific thing.

Hamilton House - Feels Like Home!

10 management rating Reviewed by on

I have lived at Hamilton House for 3 years, and love my experience here. The apartment complex is clean, safe, and quiet, and everyone who lives here seems to be friendly and kind (holding the door open for you, chatting on the elevator etc.). I also like the fact that my room overlooks New Hampshire Avenue, lending me a nice view of city, and also letting in a lot of natural light, throughout the year. Finally, the management is amiable, attentive, and compassionate. They always say hi to the residents, take good care of packages sent to me, and anytime I have had a maintenance issue, (which is rarely) someone is there the next day to fix the problem. In sum, at the end of a long week of school, I am glad to come home to a place that feels like home.

Sunny & Spacious Studio

7 management rating Reviewed by on

As a single person moving to DC, I wanted to make sure that the apartment I moved into was spacious and had ample sunlight. Although I live in the studio, the square footage is comparable to most 1BR in the neighborhood. It's a 15 minute walk from the center of Dupont (and the Georgetown GUTS bus), Adams Morgan & 18th street. There are three bus lines that are super close that has a direct stop to major retailers like Target & Best Buy.

There are TONS of closet space - closets are adjustable. The kitchen also has a lot of appliances: dishwasher, garbage disposal, etc. and ample cabinet & counter space. It's also close to an entrance to Rock Creek Park. I also have central air in my unit and have control of the temperature.

My only issue is that the property is on top of a large hill on Connecticut, you get used to walking home from Dupont but be warned if you plan on walking everywhere. There also is not a fully-stocked grocery store close by (about a 10 minute walk). Note that this building is pet-free.

Great building close to hospital

9 management rating Reviewed by on

When I was looking for apartments, I had to pick the one with the best reviews since it was 2020 and I couldn't visit in person, and it wound up working out. Great building, doorman, washer/dryer in unit which was a must, utilities included, very close to hospital. Only real downside is no pets, also a little hot when AC gets turned off before it gets cold but this only last a couple weeks.
