First Communities Management

I think that my apartment is a great deal with regards to the cost of rent I am paying every month. I looked at other one bedroom apartments that were more expensive but that had significantly less space. The apartment complex feels secluded given all of the green space and it is very quiet despite having such easy access to highways and other major roadways. I have absolutely loved living in my apartment so far and would definitely recommend Hawthorne (formerly Belara) to anyone looking for a place to live. Management is also incredible friendly and eager to answer any questions you might have.

The apartments at Belara are fairly nice and spacious - definitely a good value for the price. Some of the finishings are not the greatest quality but there are no major issues. For any concerns we have had, management has been very responsive. The commute to campus is very quick.

The complex is marketed as luxury, but it is simply modern living with a luxury label. Everything looks great on its face, but the apartment are poorly constructed. Cabinets and drawers do not line up and hit stuff, appliances are cheap, paint peels off of the wall if you bump it, you can hear neighbors talking in their own apartments (bad noise pollution), and much more. It is a common trend to label modern living as luxury. Given the abundance of subpar housing in Gainesville, this may be luxury by Gainesville standards.

Love living in this community. The demographic is older which means the property is quiet. The management and maintenance are friendly and extremely helpful. The rent is steep but the apartments are beautiful and brand new. I really love it here and would highly recommend to any medical and law students. The only con is that sometimes I hear the people above me, but it is only in areas that have hardwood. Some people are heavy walkers and that's okay.

The apartments are brand new and very nice. The appliances and furniture are contemporary. It is a bit pricey but if you’re able to afford it/get a multi-person unit, it is doable. There are a lot of activities in the community as well.

My experience at Belara has been great! The community is quiet and safe, and I like that it’s on the smaller side for apartment complexes. Maintenance issues are handled quickly. There’s always plenty of parking.

For the price you pay, Chelsea Commons isn't a bad place to live. The units themselves are pretty basic, and it's cheaper than most of the other area apartments. However, I wouldn't live there again now that I'm out of undergrad -- there are better options in the area.

This building has elevators, laundry rooms and a courtyard for the kids, lots of young families renting here. Building super is very responsive. Management board is lousy. Overall a very safe and convenient neighborhood with virtually every type of fast food, grocery store and bus stop within walking distance. No dogs allowed here, which sucks. No gym.

Great complex for dog owners! There's a fenced-in dog park on premise. The apartments are all loft-esque with either hardwood or concrete floors and tall ceilings. Granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. There have been lots of care break-ins in the front visitors lot, but none in the residence parking.

I've been a resident since August of 2014 and my experience has been nothing short of positive. I thoroughly researched apartments in West Midtown before I moved in and again before I wrote this review and none of them come close to what CL offers, especially in terms of quality, location and price. The entire complex is brand new (construction finished in 2015) and having lived in older apartments in the past it's refreshing to finally live in a clean new unit. Plus, the management staff and local community consists of some of the best people you could ever meet. Now no apartment complex is perfect, but as an experienced renter Collier Lofts has been the best property I've had the pleasure of living at.

I am, for the most part, happy with this complex. It is older but I like the hardwood floors. The only thing I am not happy with is the fact that every time my upstairs neighbor plays music it sounds like a dance party in my apartment. I, also, wish I did not hear him walk around so much. Parking is good though. I have not heard of any break ins or anything.
