Safe Neighborhood

My experience at Club Meridian has been great so far. The management has been responsive. They fixed our issues within a 24-hour notice which was much appreciated upon move in. -1 point for no elevator. I live on the 3rd floor and had to carry all my furniture up myself. There is lots of uncovered parking so great for guests. There is also a walk/run path on the apartment that is beautiful.

I do not recommend

5 management rating Reviewed by on

They do not clean the halls or the outside of the buildings.
The doorknob to my unit completely came off. I also had a classmate who had all of her doorknobs come off.
Despite pest control coming by every other week, roaches travel the hallways and in between units through the drains.

not sure what this means

Do not rent here there are so many unhappy renters here.
Our ice maker has never worked except once in a while it will put out a few cubes. The manager is not helpful at all. the appliances are very cheap.
We have ask for outside repairmen but to no avail. the maintenance person Greg has tried and he is a very nice man tries hard to make the property nice. The manager is so rude and seems to just not care if you have issues with your apartment. The apartment is built very cheap and people that are moving out say they are leaving because it is a dump.very disappointed. We are moving as soon as our house is built The maintenance crew and Victoria in the office could not be better. They are great. They need to take the luxury sign down. I have talked to probably 20 residents and they feel the same. Just need a caring Manager

Location is perfect!

City Place is located in a great area of Gainesville! You have a movie theater, Dave & Busters, shopping, and restaurants within walking distance of the property. The local Walmart, Target, Publix, and more is a short 5-7 minute drive from the property. The apartments are completely updated as the property was built in 2021 with secured doors that you can unlock with an app on your phone. The amenities are useful, clean, and updated.
The only downside to City Place is the constant noise of construction and traffic during the day. If you are used to normal city noise it should not be a problem but its definitely not a quiet area during the day.

Bare Minimum

This apartment is only a couple years old and yet it's not in good condition. Since it was built, there's been constant construction in Celebration Pointe which is extremely annoying. The maintenance is good, but that's about it. The hallways are dirty, we have bugs, no service at all on the weekends, mostly rambunctious college kids living here, high price for a tiny apartment, raising prices, constant problems with the building, etc. We only stayed for a year and many people are leaving, most rooms are empty now. Management can be rude or dismissive. Would highly not recommend. You can live in better areas at cheaper prices in Gainesville, FL.

Law Student Living at Auburn Hills

This is a nice place to live but lacking in a few areas. This complex is very pet friendly which is a huge plus. It has a nice little dog park. The pool and clubhouse are being redone so they should be really nice next year. The management team is pretty helpful. I have had quite a few maintenance issues, but the team always comes the next day to fix them. I would definitely recommend getting a renovated apartment because they are much nicer for not too steep of an increase on rent. Overall, the complex isn't five stars, but it is a nice starter apartment for a student new to Topeka (that is not looking to spend a fortune).

It’s amazing but I wouldn’t recommend due to the distance from the law school.

Club Meridian is a quiet complex in Okemos that is both family and pet friendly. It is a 10 minute drive from campus.

It's fine. It's not expensive and could definitely be a lot worse. Not many amenities. There's tons of better options in Topeka if you're willing to pay more, but it's a decent budget option. No washer/dryer but there is a laundromat just down the street.

The Fields

1 management rating Reviewed by on

The Fields is incredibly close to bus lines that go to the law school building. The area is incredibly safe and near the College Mall, so shopping is never an issue. Roads and sidewalks are cleared of snow almost immediately. Maintenance issues are usually addressed within a day. Emergency maintenance is available 24/7.

Management, however, is a different story. In general, they do not follow their obligations in the lease, but will hold you to each and every obligation you have. They've twice tried to raise my rent in violation of the lease and they took an incredibly long time to address the issue. Furthermore, the rent is already more expensive than comparable apartments. Amenities look good, but are frequently broken or out of service.
