A Great Boutique Apartment Experience

10 management rating Reviewed by on

The building has a smaller boutique design with a friendly atmosphere. The location is centrally located within walking distance for all your shopping and entertainment needs. The management is very attentive to the needs of the residents and maintains a welcoming tone. The building has upscale local art, an outdoor pool, a large common area, a media room, free coffee and beverages, and a gym w/yoga room.

Great location, management could be better. We've had lots of issues with things breaking and taking a while to get fixed. The price is going up next year from what I listed for rent. The cost is expensive compared to other cities and doesn't feel worth the value, but I think most apartments in downtown Athens are that way.

It definitely isn’t worth that much money on rent.

Overall, my experience has been good. I live roughly 35 minutes from campus. I hardly ever have issues with traffic or getting to class on time. The apartments are big enough. I was able to fit a larger desk and whiteboard in my living room. There are many stores and coffee shops in walking distance so I have to get in my vehicle to grab important from a store less frequently. The apartment complex is very quiet I never have issues with noise. However, my view isn't great but I don't mind since I have to study all day every day anyways.

Location is great. A management team of ants could do more.

Inside of my apartment is nice. Management is horrendous. Living in an on fire trash can would be managed more effectively. Management is rude, refuses to do anything to help residents, only cares about making money, and will not admit when a mistake has been made. Everything is "out of their control" and they do nothing but sit on their computers in the leasing office every day. Upon move-out they take advantage of you in every way possible, even illegally, and only do what they are supposed to do when you either go in person and don't leave until they comply or threaten legal action. Simple tasks like fixing the key lock on our front door take months and months to get fixed. Location is great, but it's a literal on fire trash can of people that run this place.

The Link Review

The Link is a good spot for law students. It is conveniently located on the greenline stop (like literally on the stop), and has a grocery store directly connected to the building (you can access it through the Link's own garage without going outside.) The amenities are nice as well: really nice gym, spacious rooms, rooftop patio. And for law students, there are limited furnished options. The only downsides are that the management is really bad, and increasingly, it has become more populated with undergrad students.

Great location and very easy to get to class. Parking is all heated and secured and you can stand inside while waiting on the light rail so it is a great place for those who hate the cold.

The apartments are great. They’re super nice, have really nice amenities, and offer parking (for an additional price). It’s also right on the green line (the stop is literally steps away from the door). However, it is on the more expensive side. I pay about 1,000 per month.

ARC at Old Colony

Very luxurious, modern, with a hint of vintage. The building has a small gym. The roof top is the best and the view from there is great. The Willis Tower on one side and the lake on the other. It is located very conveniently in the loop right by all CTA stops.
