Great Location
Location is by 2nd Street and Spring Garden, so it can get quite noisy in the warmer months. But it has been a great location for myself, my husband, and our medium sized dog.
Provides Everything Needed, but Poor Garbage Management
Wonderful location and apartment, includes covered parking. However, response to fixing requests are slow/inconsistent, and garbage is not in a protected area (many people in the area use our garbage to toss away very large items). Other tenants also do not properly use the garbage bins, nor is proper garbage bin use reinforced effectively (either tenants do not toss garbage in the correct bin, or they leave it outside of the bin altogether). This poor garbage management attracts theft, as my scooter has been attempted to be stolen at least 2-3 times. Although we have covered parking, there is no active security system or gate protecting vehicles or bicycles that tenants park here. We have witnessed multiple bicycles stolen from the parking garage.
Large apartment very close to MFL
We live in a ~1000 sq ft apartment and the rent is ~$2400. For that, we have 2 large bedrooms, and open living/dining/kitchen. In addition, the apartment offers semi-enclosed parking is $150/month. We have a small outdoor balcony overlooking 2nd street. Other pros are that the apartment is well insulated (we've never had to use our heat). The only drawback to our particular apartment is the second bedroom has no natural lighting based on where it is located, but we mainly use that room for an office.
Good price, per friendly
Nice apartment, lots of pet owners. Our unit is very spacious with equally sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. No door person but a code to get in the unit and the front door
Northern Liberties Gem
I have lived in this apartment with my husband for two years and we love it. Appliances are brand new, pet friendly, rooms are spacious, apartment floor plan is open, we have hardwood floors, and washer and dryer in unit. This apartment is located about 2-5 minute walk from the Septa MF line. Many restaurants and coffee shops on our street. We have covered parking adjacent to our building for a relatively affordable price (which is a luxury in Philadelphia).
Great location for mid-20 working professionals!
The best part about this apartment is it's location and accessibility -- close to both strips of bars/restaurants, subway lines (specifically the 6), and Central Park. The building itself is nice, with an awesome rooftop view of both mid-town Manhattan and Central Park, great for hanging out during the Spring/Summer. The doorman are also very nice and try to get to know you and your name, making you feel safe while living there.
Northern Liberties
I lived in the area before I started school and I love living in Northern Liberties. It is cheaper rent, easier to park and near the subway to get to school. Lots of good restaurants and bars. Only downside is far away from other students, but Its a great place to live.
