Southeast Dallas

Southeast Dallas is known for its surrounding nature and beautiful scenery. Scattered throughout Southeast Dallas are local parks/nature reserves that the residents like to visit. These include Crawford Memorial Park, Fireside Park, McCommas Bluff Preserve, and Trinity River Audubon Center. Crawford Memorial Park, established in 1964, is over 250 acres of loop trails that connect people to the many playgrounds, gardens, softball field, and other facilities within the complex. The Trinity River Audubon Center, actually built on what used to be a dumping ground, boasts interactive exhibits, a nature store, and over 120 acres of wilderness. The center is constructed from local and recycled materials such as bamboo, wool, cotton, and cork.
