Queen Anne
Charm Abounds
Queen Anne was one of the last neighborhoods to be established in the city of Seattle - mainly because it is built on steep land. Once the building commenced, many of the developers built Queen Anne-style homes, and the neighborhood eventually adopted this style as its name. The area contains both quiet residential sections as well as spots that are close to all that downtown Seattle has to offer. Queen Anne Avenue, which runs down the center of the neighborhood, is home to a variety of charming boutiques and fun eateries. A popular place to hang out in town is Kinnear Park. This park is a forested area that features tennis courts, walking trails, and a dog-friendly area. The most famous landmark in town is the Space Needle. This city icon is 605 feet tall, adorned with an observation deck open to the public - home to the best views around - as well as a restaurant to enjoy while basking in the scene. It’s a truly ‘must visit’ destination.
Residents get to enjoy the many nearby restaurants and bars that make up Queen Anne’s nightlife. Restaurants include Eden Hill, Canlis, Shiro's Sushi, Serious Pie, and Sushi Kashiba. Bars nearby include TeKu Tavern, PennyRoyal, Suite 410, and Elephant & Castle. Queen Anne is a happening place that many young adults are moving into due to its popular landmarks and thriving personality.

Queen Anne —
8.7/10 Rating
(based on 3 neighborhood reviews)
Queen Anne is a great neighborhood. I live one block away from Queen Anne Ave and am a one minute walk from anything I may need. I am minutes away from gyms, groceries (Trader Joes and Safeway), shopping, coffee shops, salons, restaurants, and bars. bustling lower queen anne is also just down the hill. (10 minute walk). The only downfall is that Queen Anne is slightly out of the way on public transit. You need to take two buses and it usually takes me about 50 minutes.. However, you can drive in 20 minutes, bike in 30.

A little tough to get to from the law school, but good if you're a few years out of school and not looking for the U-District experience.
