Cornell Heights

Residential Campus Living
Cornell Heights is rich with architectural history, as many homes were built between 1898 to 1942. It was originally aimed to be homes for the faculty members of faculty members that work at Cornell University, but now anyone can live there. However, people involved with Cornell in some way tend to live here. Closeby the residences, there is a popular walking trail that many of the residents of Cornell Heights like to use when the weather is nice. On the trail, there is a beautiful waterfall and gorge.

Just south of town are plenty of restaurants and bars. The quick access to the great dining experience is a huge perk for the residents of Cornell Heights. Bars for a drink on a night out include Mercato, Lot 10 Bar and Lounge, The Watershed, and The Range. Restaurants that are recommended by the residents of Cornell Heights include Saigon Kitchen, Viva Taqueria & Cantina, Moosewood Restaurant, and Pizza Aroma. Cornell Heights is a great place to live for anyone who wants to be involved with Cornell University’s campus lifestyle.

Cornell Heights — 6.7/10 Rating (based on 10 neighborhood reviews)
Neighborhood is relatively good, especially since the neighborhood only really comprises of the people in the different buildings of the apartment complex. Sometimes people are disruptive and play the radio in the car really loud or with the bass very high, but it's rare, and you rarely hear noise. The complex is 5 minute walk from a waterfall and a short distance from a park on the lake, so there are opportunities to relax around nature.

Because this apartment is dormitory, residents are students, faculties or scholars of Cornell. There are some law school students. Also, I took summer English program at Cornell. Some friends who got to know in summer program live here.

Cayuga Heights is a residential area, filled mostly with non-student locals. There aren't many nearby stores or restaurants, but they're close enough to walk to on a nice day. Downtown Ithaca is a 30 minute walk, easy. It is very quiet, and it feels very safe.
