Washington Park

Lying right between Arcadia and West Salem is the Washington Park area of Winston Salem. In 1892, the Winston-Salem Land and Investment Company launched the development of this neighborhood. It was centered around the streetcar line that emanated from the city of Salem. Many of the lovely homes reflect gorgeous architecture - from the Queen Anne-style and Georgian mansions, to the charming and smaller Craftsman bungalows. Washington Park itself is a popular local park with numerous scenic walking trails and a separate enclosed area for dogs. Being situated close to downtown, means residents can enjoy all the attractions and amenities of city-life which is only a short commute away from the quiet community.
