Fantastic Italian Food and Rich Culture

When Italian immigrants ventured to Manhattan in the late 1800s, they brought their customs, food, and language and settled into what is now known as Little Italy. The streets of Little Italy are lined with restaurants serving authentic pasta dishes and other Italian staples on red-and-white checkered tablecloths, traditional Italian bakeries, and souvenir shops. Popular eateries to check out include Emilio's Ballato, AuntJake's, and Ferrara Bakery. Mulberry Street, the main thoroughfare, becomes an outdoor mall with some of the trendiest clothing boutiques in the city.

Little Italy is beloved by long-time New Yorkers and tourists alike. Its a smaller and quaint neighborhood with mostly walkups for rent. You will fall in love with the old-world European charm and the rich traditions that are evident in day-to-day life. The iconic Little Italy also celebrates its heritage with the busy San Gennaro festival every September.

LOTS of restaurants, bars, and different social scenes. Low-crime. Easy access to Whole Foods, CVS, and Subway. Directly adjacent or nearly adjacent to East Village, Greenwich Village, West Village, Little Italy, Bowery, and Chinatown. Very young demographic (early 20s to early 30s). Lot of homeless, though.

Excellent location. Close to the 6, NQRW, JZ, BD, ACE. Walking distance from NYU. Awesome food in the area. Right next to trendy Nolita as well as a walk from social scene in LES. Right at the corner of Little Italy and Chinatown. BUT, everything closes early in Chinatown.
