Culture, Academia, and History Ingrained in Elegant Architecture

Hamilton Heights is named after Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, who lived in the neighborhood. The area is known for its beautiful and historic architecture - rustic Gothic buildings, Romanesque arches, and intricate terracotta details. It is also home to the lively City College of New York and Columbia University's Manhattanville campuses. The Harlem School of the Arts and the Dance Theatre of Harlem add to Hamilton Height's art and culture scene.

This up and coming neighborhood is shifting a bit. Luxury but still affordable condos join the original, elegant brownstones of Hamilton Heights. Generations of Hispanic and African American families have settled in the area, and now millennials are moving in too. The influx of young residents can be attributed to the hipster cafes, indie boutiques, and green spaces such as the Riverbank State Park and St. Nicholas State Park. Plus, the community is very tight-knit and super friendly here!
