Hoboken

The "Square Mile City" with No Shortage of Fun
Hoboken boasts more than meets the eye. While only a square mile, this walkable small town is bustling from dusk to dawn, especially its main thoroughfare Washington Street. Here, you will find over 150 delightful restaurants and a renowned nightlife scene with hard-to-beat dance and drinks. Hoboken also hosts some incredible festivals, such as the week-long Hoboken Comedy Festival. This waterfront city offers gorgeous views of Manhattan from Pier A Park, as well as peaceful strolls along the multiple parks (including Elysian Park, where the first recorded baseball game was played) and into the cute and charming boutiques.

Frank Sinatra's hometown has become an increasingly attractive option compared to living in New York City. Located just across the Hudson River in northeastern New Jersey, Hoboken is home to lovely brownstones, pre-war walkups, and contemporary luxury towers. With its easy transportation access and so much to do in one square mile, Hoboken is a neighborhood you don't want to pass up.

Hoboken — 8.3/10 Rating (based on 4 neighborhood reviews)
Community filled with mostly young people (23-35) and families starting out. Anything you could ever need is within a 3 block radius- including stores, bars, and gyms.

The community is super safe, however, the roads are not very car-friendly. Very hard to find parking and massive potholes everywhere.

You can access public transportation within 5 blocks of anywhere in the city.

Safe, quiet neighborhood with a lot of young professionals and young families. Tons to do and easy to get into NYC but not so close to NYC that you feel like you constantly have to go to NYC to do things.
