Polo, also sometimes referred to as Sherwood Forrest, is a popular neighborhood given its convenient location near to Downtown Winston-Salem. This area is graced with stately brick homes from the 1960’s and ’70’s - many with large yards, and majestic trees. There are plenty of destinations to visit and enjoy in Polo. For a bit of relaxation, nothing beats enjoying outdoor activities in Shaffner park. The park features numerous recreational grounds including tennis courts, soccer fields, and scenic walking trails. Many residents like to enjoy a soccer game at nearby W. Dennie Spry Soccer Stadium. The town also has it own neighborhood swimming pool. For convenience, there are a few options for grocery shopping including Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, and The Fresh Market stores.
