I live right around the corner from Burns Park and Argus Farm Stop - I love these amenities! Last year, when I didn't have a car, I was not super fond of my neighborhood because it is residential and there are very few stores/restaurants nearby (besides Argus - which is GREAT). However, now that I have a car, I enjoy my neighborhood a lot more (plus there's always street parking right in my front of my apartment available). It's also only a 15 minute walk to the law school.

Very safe and secure neighborhood. There are a couple of frat houses across the street which get noisy only during the football games. Otherwise, excellent neighborhood and location.

Very convenient and typically lots of street parking for visitors. It is fairly frat- and sorority-heavy, so some occasional noise on football Saturdays.

Burns Park is a perfect neighborhood to be a student in- plenty of outdoor space, generally quiet (if far enough from the frat houses), and far enough from the school to give a comfortable distance without being too far of a commute. The only drawback is that it is away from the bars and stores downtown, but Ann Arbor is small enough that this shouldn't bar anyone from choosing Burns Park.

It's a good location. It's about a 5 minute walk to Ross and a 10/15 walk Downtown. There are several take-out restaurants and bars in the area as well as a hardware store, so it's easy to run out and get things last-minute if needed. There are a fair number of undergrads/frats in the area and they can be noisy during weekend nights, but the building is positioned so that the noise is minimized.

There are several restaurants and the hardware store nearby which is very convenient. It's a close walk to Ross and not far from downtown. But, there are several frats in the area. The building is sheltered from the noise but you can still hear them from time to time.

Parts of this neighborhood are great and very close to Ross. Prices in this neighborhood are very reasonable. Do some research and see what parts of the neighborhood are predominantly undergrad party spots as you'll likely want to avoid those.

Unfortunately also close to the fraternities that party ALL day on game day. Grocery stores are a drive or bus ride away, but bars and restaurants on State Street, Packard and South U are all walking distance which is really great.

Closer to campus, Burns Park is all student housing.
There's lots of parties/music/people playing beer pong on their lawns. Further away from campus, it's a fancy family oriented neighborhood. Keep reading

It is a relatively quiet neighborhood until game days when it becomes crazy. The apartment is in the middle of a lot of greek housing so it can get loud. Pretty safe neighborhood.

There are a lot of undergraduates and not much going on besides an intense house-party scene. The IMSB is close, which is very convenient. Now that the Pastry Peddler is closed, the only good coffee place is Argus Farms, unless you want to go all the way out to Black Diesel.
