I love north Boulder. Close to the climbing gym and several grocery stores. Close to good areas for running. Quieter part of the city as compared to the hill or south Boulder

Shady Hollow
I live in an unnamed community of townhouses just west of 30th street between Valmont and Glenwood Drive. It's quiet, safe, and closer to restaurants and nightlife than I first expected. Fringe, Deli Zone, Verde, Rayback Collective, and Outback Saloon are all within two blocks and have quickly become some of my favorite places in Boulder. Dot's Diner, Walgreens, and Bluff Street Bar & Grill are also within a few blocks. If you're into climbing: Movement and Boulder Rock Club are within a half-mile walk; The Spot is less than a mile. Downtown Pearl Street is a longer walk, but doable. Being located away from the neighborhoods that are popular with undergraduate students makes this a perfect location for working from home in peace, while still being able to get out and about when you want. Importantly, the Bound bus line makes several stops in the Glenwood Grove-North Iris neighborhood and goes straight to the law school at Baseline & Broadway. I highly recommend this neighborhood and community.

Great neighborhood. Conveniently close to everything but far enough from the Hill and Pearl Street that its quiet. Neighborhood is perfect for grad students and people looking for less chaos.

Trails and soccer fields were nearby. There was a grocery store within walking distance. I wish there were more restaurants and bars within walking distance.

There's a train about 200 feet away. That's our only issue with the place.

Shady Hollow is a small condo development that contains a mix of student rentals, young families, and older Boulder residents. The development offers a good amount of green space, and is located close to both a park and the Goose Creek trail. Additionally, it is far enough away from campus to escape most of the undergraduate campus, but still only a short commute by car, bus, or bike.

There are a lot of couples and families in our neighborhood, and there are great places to eat. It is quiet and low-key, so not great if you're looking to go out every weekend. Awesome if you like to be a bit away from campus but still in Boulder, near parks and hikes, and near cool places to eat!

The neighborhood is one of the nicer apartment complexes available in Boulder.

No real experience with it, but there are restaurants, gyms, and stores nearby. I wouldn't characterize it as a neighborhood-y neighborhood.
