Baseline Sub

Residential Area for CU Boulder Staff and Students
Baseline Sub is home to CU Boulder's Eastern Campus and hosts many of the school's athletic events for soccer, track, and more at Prentup and Potts Fields. STEM majors will find many of their buildings here, including the chemical and biological engineering department and atmospheric and space physics building. Many undergraduate and graduate students choose to live in the area because of the proximity to both the central and eastern campuses. Most of the neighborhood is dedicated to university buildings on the north side, and the residential south side hosts single-family homes and apartment buildings.

The commute to campus is an easy 5-minute drive or 8-minute walk or bus ride. There are plenty of university amenities to take advantage of in the area. Still, residents also visit Downtown and Boulder Junction for shopping and nightlife. As always, outdoor activities are in abundance, with the Baseline Reservoir just a couple miles west and the Rocky Mountains at your disposal.

Baseline Sub — 8.3/10 Rating (based on 37 neighborhood reviews)
The neighborhood is surprisingly quiet considering how close to campus it is. There are plenty of students who live in the area, mixed in with professionals and young couples. There are many dogs in the area as well.

Neighborhood is all apt. complexes filled with students. I have no safety concerns in the neighborhood--though some people get annoyed by undergraduate partying (I don't).

this neighborhood is mostly residential. if you are looking to live close to lots of bars and restaurants it might not be for you. however it is quiet and very near to the law school so if those are your priorities it is perfect.

Because this is a complex right on 30th Ave, there isn't a neighborhood, really. Surrounding apartments are mostly rented by students.

Anywhere on the western edge of East Boulder is great. It's on Boulder Creek, a block from the 29th Street Mall, and near a bunch of shops, restaurants, movie theaters, and transit options. It's also a super cheap uber ride to downtown Boulder if you don't want to walk/bike/take the bus. I can't speak to the eastern side of East Boulder, which is quite a bit further away from everything, as I haven't lived there.
