West San Jose

It is argued that West San Jose is home to San Jose’s most famous landmark, the Winchester Mystery House. The 132-year-old mansion is open for tours to learn the legend of Sarah Winchester. The home has all kinds of puzzling architecture like stairways that lead to the ceiling and doorways that open to nothing. A comfortable walk away from the mansion is the Santana Row, a European based shopping center that holds a luxury shopping wing.
Driving a little farther west you will find a Japanese culture, cuisine and shopping at Mitsuwa Shopping Center. Featured on the Food Networks Show “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives”, Le Papillon and the Falafel Drive-In hold to be among the town’s most upscale dining.
