Good place to live
Overall, I had a good experience. The leasing office could be a little slow to get back to me at times. The complex itself is very big but fairly quiet and good for studying. The mailboxes are constantly vandalized, so getting mail is a huge problem. There is a 20 minute drive to school as well.

Cheap & safe area close enough to school
I’ve lived here for 3 years now and have no major complaints. I love the Far West area. It’s very safe, which is important to me because I like to run outside in the evenings and at night. There are food and coffee shops literally a 2-minute walk away, which is nice for students. I have about a 15 minute drive to campus. Living on the west side of Austin is preferable to me because of the traffic. Driving on Mopac into campus is a consistently moving drive.
The rent at this complex is cheap for Austin because the apartments are not really renovated. If you have a preference for which building to rent out—definitely prefer the 7205 building over the 7201 building. The 7205 building has quieter and older residents, whereas the 7201 building has noisy children running around at all hours of the day. The 7201 building also generally has a mild bug problem in the summers. The complex property manager generally responds to requests within a week, but you might have to hound them. Mailboxes are not secured here so you might have your mail stolen if the boxes are broken into, which happens every 3-4 months.

Good
Good apartment, but management is a little slow to respond to maintenance issues.
